Military and Veteran Students
Our school is proud to serve active duty service members and veterans of the United States Armed Forces answering the call to second service. The George Washington University and GSPM offer a host of financial benefits, on-campus resources, and professional opportunities to current and former members of the United States military.
Yellow Ribbon Program
GW pledges to fund tuition expenses that exceed the maximum base pay amount provided by the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill.
Admission and Financial Benefits
Current and former members of the U.S. military are eligible for several scholarships through GW and other organizations. GSPM is the first graduate school in the U.S. to partner with Service to School's VetLink program, which connects qualified veterans with some of the foremost universities in America. Furthermore, application fees are waived for active duty military and veteran prospective students.
GW Military and Veteran Services
GW offers a wide array of resources and services for our more than 1,800 military and veteran students, including military student organizations, career services, and our Military Community Center.
GW Veterans
GW Veterans is a dedicated community offering academic, professional, and social support to GW's military affiliated students.
"My GSPM experience prepared me well for the next phase of my career—from military service to a Fellowship on Capitol Hill. Equally as important as the curriculum itself, I found the connections to faculty and other students to be invaluable. Current and former Hill staff, lobbyists, and even Members of Congress brought an incredible perspective from understanding political science to the art of policymaking."
