Dr. Todd Belt is an accomplished educator, author, and researcher
WASHINGTON (January 7, 2019) – The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM), housed in the College of Professional Studies (CPS), named Dr. Todd Belt as its Political Management Program Director.
“GSPM is a key component of this college, and the political management program is a big part of it. Dr. Belt’s extensive political research and academic experience will serve our students and school well,” said GSPM Director Lara Brown.
“I'm thrilled to join the excellent faculty and lecturers at the Graduate School of Political Management and am excited to contribute to the Political Management Program's mission of preparing the next generation's political leaders,” said Belt. “I can't think of a better place or a better time to be working in this field.”
As program director, Dr. Belt will oversee all components of the political management program’s curriculum, faculty recruitment and retention, and overall strategic mission.
A distinguished writer and researcher, Dr. Belt has co-authored four books and published over a dozen chapters in edited scholarly books.
Dr. Belt previously served as a professor of political science at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
Dr. Belt earned his Ph. D. in political science from the University of Southern California.
GW’s Graduate School of Political Management is the first and foremost school of applied politics, communications, and advocacy. It teaches students the strategies and tactics needed to advance causes, candidates, and commerce.
