Shari Dexter

Shari Dexter joined the American Hospital Association in December 2011 to lead the fundraising efforts of AHAPAC, one of the largest health care political action committees in the nation, raising over $2.3 million annually.

Prior to this, she spent five years as the Associate Director for Political Affairs at the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, overseeing CRNA-PAC and AANA’s grassroots and key contact programs. Shari also worked as a PAC services consultant and administrator for the American Nurses Association's ANA-PAC.

She holds a master's degree in fundraising from the George Washington University School of Political Management and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Maryland. Currently, she serves on the board of the Public Affairs Council.
