Washington – The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) is proud to partner with nearly two dozen women’s and advocacy groups to bring Ready to Run, a non-partisan campaign training program started by the Center for American Women and Politics, to Washington, DC. The program seeks to encourage and train women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign, or get involved in public life in other way.
This program is the result of a unique collaboration between over twenty advocacy organizations from the left and right, as well as non-partisan organizations, focused on increasing political participation and raising ethical and professional standards in the fields of politics, communications, and advocacy. A full list of partners is below.
Our program will feature insights on how to build a campaign, boost one’s public speaking and presentation skills, manage and grow a candidates digital portfolio, developing a campaign message, and raising the funds needed for a successful campaign. Many sessions will be facilitated by GSPM alumni now working as elected officials, campaign managers, and digital communications professionals.
