Michelle Faggert is the Associate Director, Employer Partnerships and External Affairs for GSPM. She is a policy, education, and engagement expert, serving most recently as Assistant Program Director of Public Affairs at the Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) at the University of Maryland. Previously, at the Aspen Institute, Michelle helped to envision education systems across the country as spaces to empower the next generation of climate advocates and scientists.
Prior to this role, she worked for the Center for Civics, Education, and Opportunity at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute to build bipartisan coalitions of education leaders and as a Leadership for Educational Equity fellow at the DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education. As a science educator and department chair through Teach for America in Charlotte, North Carolina, she taught 8th grade students of all backgrounds and abilities the essential role of science in today’s society.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia, a Master of Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Certificate in Clean Energy Financing and Deployment from Yale University. Michelle also serves as co-president of Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment.
