WASHINGTON – The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) announced three additions to the school’s Board of Advisors Wednesday. The new members, Anthony Coley, David Payne, and Nien Su, bring decades of experience in politics, communications, and advocacy to the board. Additionally, all three are alumni of GSPM.

“We are very excited to have Anthony, David, and Nien as active participants in our school,” said GSPM Interim Director Lara Brown. “Their successes in the worlds of politics, advocacy, and business show that we prepare people for leadership. There is no better testament to the value of our programs, faculty, and professional networks.”

GSPM’s Board of Advisors are active and engaged participants in the life of the school, providing valuable contributions and acting as advocates on the school’s behalf. It includes former members of Congress and the executive branch, presidential campaign managers, top-tier international lobbyists, and public relations elites.

New Members:

Anthony Coley, Vice President and Managing Director, Communications at the Managed Funds Association, GSPM, Legislative Affairs 2006:
Coley works directly with Managed Funds Association President and CEO Richard Baker to develop and implement the Managed Funds Association’s global communications and media relations strategy. David Payne, President, CODAVATE, GSPM, Political Management 2004:
Payne is one of DC’s top digital communications and engagement strategists. He recently founded CODAVATE, an online communications and public affairs agency. Previously, he founded and led the digital practice at VOX Global, an Omnicom agency located in Washington, DC.

Nien Su, Director, International Corporate Affairs, Walmart Strategic Initiatives Group, GSPM Legislative Affairs 2005:

Su played a key role in developing the Walmart Food Safety Collaboration Center in Beijing, a five-year, $30 million project that seeks to improve food supply chain management. Prior to joining Walmart, Su served as a staffer in the United States House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee as well as the Department of State and White House.

GSPM congratulates each of our new board members and looks forward to their counsel in the months ahead.
