Michelle Leff Mermelstein, APR has more than 15 years of communications and media relations experience focused in telecommunications and healthcare. She currently serves as the group manager for wireless device public relations at Sprint. Before joining Sprint in 2008, Michelle was a senior account supervisor with Edelman’s Washington, D.C. office and an account supervisor with Fleishman Hillard’s Washington, DC team. Michelle also previously served as a Public Affairs Associate for the American College of Physicians, the nation’s largest medical specialty society. Michelle earned a master’s degree in political management from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from American University in Washington, D.C. Michelle is currently an adjunct professor of strategic public relations at George Washington University. She previously taught public relations at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Mia.
