A direct mail consultant since 1999, Liz Chadderdon has created messaging, strategy and persuasion direct mail for presidential, congressional, legislative and municipal races in 42 states. In 2007, she became the first woman to start her own Democratic direct mail firm without a business partner. Liz is one of fourteen Democratic Board members for the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC). She and her team have won twenty-one Pollie Awards from the AAPC and six Campaign and Elections Magazine Reed Awards, including the “Toughest Direct Mail” piece 3 years in a row.
Prior to her direct mail career, Chadderdon was the North Carolina House Democratic Caucus Director in 1998, where she won seven seats and returned Democrats to the majority. In 1997, she served on the second Presidential Inaugural Committee for Clinton/Gore and later worked for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee. Chadderdon worked for Mark Warner on his 1996 US Senate campaign and for state legislative races in Virginia in 1997 and 1995. She began her career helping her mother run for the Texas state legislature in 1994, later joining the re-election campaign of Texas Governor Ann Richards as a volunteer coordinator.
