Kimberlee Fischetti

Adjunct Professor

Ms. Fischetti is the Deputy Director of Congressional Affairs for the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), supporting the Command in the Washington, DC office. She serves as the senior Congressional Affairs Specialist responsible for monitoring and advising on congressional interests and actions involving US European Command (EUCOM) and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) plans and programs, as well as those policies that affect EUCOM and SHAPE. Ms. Fischetti reports on all matters affecting EUCOM and SHAPE, and supports the Director of Congressional Affairs in preparing materials for senior leadership, which include issue papers, congressional delegation scene setter letters, posture statements, and correspondence between EUCOM, SHAPE, Components, and Congress. Prior to coming to EUCOM, Ms. Fischetti was the Congressional and Strategic Communications Advisor to the Under Secretary of Intelligence and Analysis (I & A) at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). While at I & A, her duties entailed shaping a coherent message about the Department’s Intelligence Enterprise mission to the various congressional committees responsible for DHS oversight. Her other assignments over the past 15 years include time as a congressional liaison for the U.S. Navy, as the Director of Legislative Affairs for a servicemembers’ non-profit organization, and as a U.S. Senate staff member. Ms. Fischetti was also an adjunct professor of political science for many years.

Ms. Fischetti received her Bachelor’s Degree with highest honors and distinction in Government and International Politics with a minor in Philosophy from George Mason University, and her Master’s Degree with highest honors in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University. Ms. Fischetti lives in Northern Virginia with her daughter, Emilee.
