Frieda K. Edgette is a former public health political operative, government affairs specialist, county commissioner and lobbyist turned award-winning leadership coach and civic-minded organizational strategist, who operates at the intersection of politics, neuroscience and well-being.
Over her career, Frieda has facilitated more than 200 change initiatives on five continents, and helped more than 2,000 emerging to veteran executives powerfully lead through unpredictable environments, including business, nonprofit, government and political campaign C-Suite executives, US secretaries and parliamentary ministers. Her extensive civic client list includes the United States Air Force, Office of Leadership and Organizational Development in Office of the Secretary of Defense Policy, United States Embassy of Turkey, Biden For President, Stacey Abrams for Governor, Organizing for Action, Onward Together, Enroll America, Future Now, Emerge, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and local school districts.
Frieda has published in the Harvard Business Review, GOVERNING, US News & World Report, Roll Call, POLITICO and Mindful, and has appeared on Fox News, Sirius POTUS, Womens Running and C-SPAN Washington Journal on issues of strategy and resilience for civic professionals. She is a Campaigns & Elections Reed Award winner for Best Professional Development Initiative for Courage to Run, the nation's premier running series and leadership community dedicated to celebrating women running for office (literally) and being healthy to lead effectively, and was named a 2020 Goldies All Star.
Frieda is a professional International Coach Federation coach, as well as a Co-Active Professional Certified Coach. She has a MSc in Organizational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
When not working hard on the change we can believe in, she is running half marathons solo, exploring with her husband and son, crossword puzzling or eating avocados.
