Traci Scott serves as Senior Adviser for Strategic Communication at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Scott drew from her journalism experience and her family's military roots to take on the role of regional liaison officer for the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.

In addition to her role at Fort Riley, Scott is noted for her service to the Afghanistan Reconstruction, operations in Baghdad, and her work at the U.S. Department of Defense. She was nominated for and participated in the Presidential Leadership Scholars program and founded the Green Dress Project, which empowers young girls from underserved communities to learn how to transition into professional environments and avoid missteps.

Scott previously served as Director of Communications for U.S. Rep. Jon Porter (R-Nev.) and Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) and has volunteered numerous times to support GSPM students, staff, faculty, and alumni. She is a graduate of the Graduate School of Political Management, earning her Masters degree in Political Management in 1996.
